It is a natural polysaccharide derived from the shells of Far Eastern crabs and lobsters. It possesses high biological activity and offers numerous health benefits.
First and foremost, chitosan has been found to possess a rare adsorption (absorbing) ability that helps rid our bodies of excess fat. When chitosan enters the gastrointestinal tract, it actively absorbs water and turns into a gel-like mass that attracts fats and slows down their absorption in the intestines. Scientists call chitosan a “fat magnet”: a single chitosan molecule can bind and remove 12–16 fat molecules. Thus, up to 50% of consumed fats are eliminated from the intestines. This creates a deficiency of fatty acids and energy in the body, forcing it to burn its fat reserves. In addition, levels of harmful cholesterol in the blood are reduced, which is beneficial for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
DOSAGE REGIMEN
Take 2 capsules in the afternoon and 2 capsules in the evening, 30 minutes before meals. Take with 2 glasses of boiled water.
It is necessary to maintain adequate fluid intake throughout the day—at least 2 liters of water. Consuming less fluid may lead to constipation.
Duration of treatment: 2–3 months. Subsequent treatment courses may be repeated.
Alcohol consumption is contraindicated while taking Chitosan.
